As a second-generation owner, Phil leads our company and serves as its president. He grew up learning the ins and outs of the family business from his father, Morris. With a passion for excellence and making a positive impact, Phil is thankful for the opportunity he has as a business owner to empower people and give back to our community. Phil and his family live in Brownstown and attend Calvary Church in Lancaster. He is actively involved in the local fire company and youth sport organizations.
Bob is responsible for a majority of our new construction commercial bids. Prior to his employment with our company, he was an estimator for Horst Group and previously owned and operated his own painting business. Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. In addition, his strong relationships with industry peers complement his vast knowledge of the painting industry’s products and procedures. Bob is active in community organizations and enjoys restoring automobiles.
Tom is mainly responsible for assessing jobs that require initial on-site visits to accurately prepare proposals for customers. Tom’s efforts are primarily focused on Residential, Commercial and Industrial re-paints. He is often on the go taking care of customer requests and needs. When called into action, Tom readily takes on other responsibilities, including being a member of our Safety Committee. Tom is an avid baseball fan and enjoys coaching young athletes interested in developing their skills.
Julie oversees our office operation and management. With many years of experience in accounting and office management, she brings extensive business knowledge and administrative structure to Hursh Painting Company. As part of her role, Julie manages all aspects of payroll and human resources and supervises accounts payable and accounts receivable. Julie enjoys time with family, camping and reading.
A valued Hursh Painting Company employee for over 30 years, Lenny is our Safety Director. He also manages consumable supplies and oversees the on-going maintenance and safety of our equipment and fleet of vehicles. Lenny’s experience in the field and with project management, along with his expertise in safety and training, has successfully ensured our team’s safety year after year. Lenny is pleased to spend his spare time outdoors gardening, fishing and hunting.
A long-time employee of more than 30 years, Bob serves as the primary project manager for our company. With top-notch industry knowledge and work experience, he oversees and manages most jobs. His responsibilities include attending job meetings, communicating with contractors and customers, managing production expectations for our teams, and ensuring team members have the tools and materials needed for each day’s work. Bob puts many miles on his personal vehicle too; he has a good time at car shows, historical museums and taking trips with his family.
